Hardness Requirement

Shaft diameter d1≤48mm, hardness 470-580 HV or 47-54 HRC.

48mm ＜ shaft diameter d1≤200mm, hardness 435-530 HV or 44-51 HRC.

200mm ＜ shaft diameter d1≤300mm, hardness 390-470 HV or 40-47 HRC.

Heat treatment and finish
Austempering is applied to increase the mechanical property of our products. Our modern heat treatment equipment and skillful technicians guarantee each retaining ring within the mechanical properties required.
The standard finish of carbon steel retaining rings is phosphate. 
Dacromet is available on request.
Zinc plating is available, but is not recommended because of the risk of hydrogen brittleness.
Stainless steel is polished into original color after heat treatment.
